St. Pauls Cathedral

I've wanted to try this for a while and today I found myself in the right spot to give it a go. I felt bad snapping off so many pictures in such a quiet place, and I wished that someone was in there with me to watch me looking like a fool arching my back and pointing my camera at the ceiling...

The prior comment was entered before it was finished. To continue: This is, simply, an amazing image. It is well conceived and well executed. Once agian (I've said this before) visualization BEFORE is a key to surpurb image making and it is clear that you have carefully visualized many of your images before snapping. I look forward to meeting you upon your return. Have you ever done any large format work?

extraordinary. just out of curiosity, what kind of camera are you using and what lenses and filters, and how many photos did you take to stitch it together?

Jenna, appologies for not answering this one sooner -

I used a canon 5D with a canon 24-70L 2.8 lens - no filters, just slightly pulled around in adobe's light room software. I beleive this one was about 18 frames shot wide (landscape) from top to bottom. Photoshop has an excellent photomerge option under File>Automate>Photomerge - try it out with a normal pan and then you start to realize how much further you can take it...
