Solvent 3440 Special
Posted by Aaron Blatt (Burlington VT, United States) on 22 August 2008 in Miscellaneous.
I met these guys at a rail jam (see photo a few weeks back). I had discussed shooting with them and they were into it. We finally went out a couple of nights ago to this Hayward beach spot (see photo a few days back).
They have a pretty serious operation where they travel and perform everywhere from festivals to corporate events. It seems like a good gig if you are into this sort of thing. I think it's rad, and I had a good time shooting with them. The fuel they use to keep these torches burning is called 3440 Special. I guess it's straight jet fuel, it's clean, and it's good to spit out of your mouth to make a fireball, but don't try it.
